17 Light Up a Life One Night Only Benefit Concert for the Homeless The City of Pompano Beach and Miguel Reyna and Company are co-sponsoring a concert to help benefit the Homeless of Broward County and The FABLE Peru Shelter. Miguel Reyna, a rare and unique piano and keyboard virtuoso, composer, arranger, music director, band leader and vocalist will be performing rich musical traditions of the 40’s, 50’s, American Standard, Classics, Jazz, Latin, Contemporary and other international music styles with a host of talented musicians. All proceeds from the concert will be donated to Our Fathers Soup Kitchen, The St. Lawrence Chapel and FABLE Peru Shelter to help the homeless. 20 Pompano Beach “Scenic A1A” Car Show & Cruise-in-Night Pompano Beach, FL – The Greater Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce will host a monthly “Scenic A1A” Car Show & Cruise-In Night co-sponsored by the City of Pompano Beach and the CRA (Community Redevelopment Agency) of Pompano Beach, the Car Show & Cruise-In is from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm every third Friday of the month and will take place in the parking lot on A1A in front of the Pompano Pier.

The Car Show & Cruise-In showcases classic cars, antiques, specialty vehicles and more. All types of vehicles are invited. Cost is $3.00 per car and $5.00 if the car is for sale. There will also be music from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, door prizes and a 50/50 raffle. Admission is free to walk in and see all the cars. The Pompano Beach “Scenic A1A Car Show and Cruise-In is a joint effort spearheaded by the CRA as way to attract locals and visitors alike to the Pompano’s beach area . Even more startling is that four out of five child car seats are improperly installed. 26 Thanksgiving Day Reverse Order Triathlon The City of Pompano Beach Parks and Recreation Department is holding a Thanksgiving Day Reverse Order Triathlon. The Run-Bike-Swim event will take place at the Pompano Beach Aquatic Center located at 820 N.E. 18 Avenue on Thursday, November 26th at 7:00 a.m. The Run portion of the triathlon will be 4.4 miles which will be one lap around the Pompano Airpark path. The Bike portion of the triathlon will be 8.8 miles which will be two laps around the Pompano Airpark path. The Swim portion of the triathlon will be 600 meters in the City’s State-of-the-Art Olympic size competition pool.

Participants must pre-register at the Pompano Aquatic Center by November 25th. The registration fee is $40 or $30 early bird registration if before November 10th. There is no age requirement, but minors must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the event. There is a maximum of 120 participants for this event.
